So in the past 14 months there are many things I have learned....hopefully I can think of them all...
1. When you bring your baby home from the hospital the are old enough to sleep in their own bed...THEY WILL BE FINE...If you let them sleep with you once you get home you are doomed...Sleep training is hard....
2. Baby's are tougher than you think. I cannot tell you how many times a day my child falls, hits her head, or runs into things...From day one when she "hurts" herself (unless she is screaming horribly) we say UH-OH and move on...It helps a lot to do it this way because now she hardly cries when she hurts herself
3. Bottles...Dr. Brown's leak... now this is kind of a personal choice but to me Playtex Drop-In's seemed to be the best. There is no worrying about the "bad" plastic. Cleaning is a breeze...you break it all apart and throw it in the dishwasher. NO BOTTLE BRUSHES ... YEAH!!! And yes they are a lil more expensive but once again, no bad plastic.
4. Koala Kid receiving blankets are the best swaddling blankets (if you do not want to spend a lot of money on blankets). There are some that you can get I think for like $11 a piece. To me that was just to expensive
5. Baby Connection Sheets from Wal-Mart are the best. I got Circo sheets from Target and they were so tight that I had to bend the corner of the mattress to get the sheet on and the corner got messed up and the sheets ended up ripping because I had to pull them so tight. Baby Connection ones fit great with no hard tugging to get it on.
Ok this much I know and I am going to try to make a new post daily with things I have learned and thoughts I have thought
